Margaret Leslie “Molly” Johnson is a Canadian vocalist and songwriter. Johnson embarked on a life in music singing for rock and pop groups, before she became one of Canada’s most revered voices in jazz.
Despite working as a jazz singer throughout her whole career in various ensembles, Johnson only put out her first solo records under her own name in 2000. With a voice that’s immediately recognizable and effortlessly adaptable to any genre, and a timeless cool reminiscent of the great jazz voices that came before her, Molly Johnson became a household name on the international scene. Particularly in France she has reached bonafide superstar status.
