Rodriguez went to the Manhattan School of Music and then to Juilliard. His open-minded approach to music has seen him develop his own avant-garde mix of jazz, hip-hop and R&B. Rodriguez has accompanied A$AP Rocky on guitar and keyboards, and has also played with the late Roy Hargrove. In 2021 he contributed to Melanie Charles’ reimagined version of Jazz (Ain’t Nothing But Soul) for her album on Verve. In 2023 he played with Meshell Ndegeocello, providing vocals on her album “The Omnichord Real Book.”
