Domi Louna (born 2000) and JD Beck (born 2003) are a duo of virtuosos whose hyperspeed synth and drum playing and next level harmonic compositions have found them embraced by hip-hop fans as well as the jazz community.

DOMi & JD BECK

DOMi and JD Beck first met in 2018 at the National Association of Music Merchants and soon were playing and writing music together. DOMi grew up in France before studying at Berklee in Boston. JD Beck grew up near Dallas, and at age five began receiving mentorship from Erykah Badu’s drummer Cleon Edwards. In 2019, the duo began playing with Thundercat and Anderson.Paak. Their debut album “Not Tight” was released in 2022 on Blue Note, and features guest appearances from Herbie Hancock and singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco, as well as rappers Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg.
