Brooke Combe grew up in Dalkeith, just south of Edinburgh, where she developed a love for Motown and soul music. She collaborated with producer James Skelly, the frontman of The Coral, to create her debut album, titled Dancing on the Edge of the World, which was released independently in January 2025 at Kempston Street Studios in Liverpool. She is eager to become a leading figure in the soul revival movement. Her influences include Leon Bridges, Michael Kiwanuka, and Raye, as well as Jalen Ngonda and Jungle. Fans of Brooke often enjoy the music of CMAT and Self Esteem.
