Great American Songbook

The Great American Songbook is the jazz canon. Many of these wonderful songs were written for broadway shows by legendary composers such as George & Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Harold Arlen. Over the years, they’ve formed the foundations of jazz and have been tackled by everyone from Frank Sinatra, and Samara Joy to Sun Ra, and Miles Davis. Browse some of our favourites here.
