On her sixth studio album, 2001's The Look Of Love, singer and pianist Diana Krall returns with an even more polished and sophisticated sound, breathing new life into an impeccable selection of classic love songs from the Great American Songbook including Bacharach and David's timeless title track, George and Ira Gershwin's dreamy "S'Wonderful" and Hoagy Carmichael's witty "I Get Along Without You Very Well." Krall is aided by heavyweight friends including legendary producer - and frequent collaborator - Tommy LiPuma. World-renowned arranger Claus Ogerman provides lush strings performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, with colours added by a cohort of jazz players, including long-time musical associate, guitarist Russell Malone, and just a touch of jaunty Latin percussion. It's a romantic, luxurious treat.
